Hana Yori Dango ( Boys Over Flowers ) is a Japanese manga with a quintessential Cinderella story. It is very popular and has been adapted as TV dramas and movies not only in Japan but also in Taiwan and Korea. The story is set in an elite high school from rich families called Eitoku Academy. The heroin Tsukushi Makino who is from a working class family meets the members of elite Flower Four, known as the “F4” there. Now it is one of the best selling girls manga in Japan of all time. I introduce locations for making this story which fans like visiting.

This is the Japanese sweets shop Tsukushi and her best friend Yuki do a part time work after school. The shop has a different name ‘Sengokuya’ in the drama but the real shop Tsuruya Yoshinobu is also popular Japanese sweets shop as an old established shop.

Ueno zoo is the place where Tsukushi and Tsukasa do a double date with Tsukushi’s best friend Yuki and her boyfriend. Ueno zoo is one of the most popular zoos in Japan and many couples and families visit especially on weekends.
