The Terrifying Roller Coaster Bridge “Eshima Ohashi”
Eshima Ohashi is the bridge connecting Tottori prefecture and Shimane prefecture in Japan. The total length is 1.5km (approximately 5,000 feet) and its gradient is surprisingly 6.1% (about 3.5 degrees). It looks like a roller coaster from the foot of the bridge, so it was named “Roller Coaster Bridge” in English.
Eshima Ohashi Bridge has appeared on the commercials of DAIHATSU (Japanese car manufacturer) on TV to prove the driving performance on slopes of a light vehicle called TANTO. After the TV commercial released, the bridge suddenly became famous and attracted lots of tourists.

Also the nearest convenience store from the bridge said that the number of customers increased threefold compared with the month before the TV commercial released.
