The Tokyo Dome City Winter Illumination is every year and loved by many people, the event is in collaboration with Italy. The year 2016 marks the 150th Anniversary of Japan-Italy diplomatic relations. This year there are new things to see because of the anniversary. This is a great thing to do for couples and families.


Leaning Tower of Pisa

There is a one-third scale model of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, inside the monument there is another recreation of it. A skilled craftsmen from Italy created the monument using rocks mined in  Alabastro, Volterra, Italy.


The house of Juliet

Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous works from William Shakespeare. The house of Juliet is known as a place for love. At this location, you can write a letter declaring your love, it gets sent to the actual house in Italy, and your love is supposed to come true.


Befana’s Christmas Tree

Befana is a traditional Italian witch, who gives presents to good children on Christmas day. This Christmas tree was designed for her. The tree is 7 meters high and it feels just like you are in Italy.

This river in Venetiare was reproduced, it is on one of the fantastic water towns in Italy. There is a bridge called “Sighing bridge” across the river. It is said that if you kiss your lover under the bridge during sunset, you two will have everlasting love.
