Have you ever heard of LINE, the Japanese equivalent of WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger? Well, obviously for all the character lovers out there LINE has its own store smack in the middle of Harajuku.
The store was full of jolliness as it prepared itself for the upcoming Christmas season.
…from the Brown rudolph…
…to the Cony Santa, waiting for you in the store!
Once you actually set foot inside the store, you will find yourself surrounded by LINE Friends merchandise; as with almost any other character themed shop, one can probably find almost anything LINE Friends-related and more in this little shop!
For starters, you can get plushies of your favorite LINE Friends character in the shop for 3500 yen.
…and we can’t leave them stickers and keychains out now, can’t we?
With a variety of patterns and shapes on each, these handkerchiefs make nifty gifts for your loved ones.
Can’t focus on work without having some cuddly cuteness around? Why not grab one of these adorable mouse pads for 400 yen?
And here’s a small souvenir to remind you of your trip here to the LINE Friends Store as you leave the airport.
What say we freshen the air a bit by adding a bit of LINE characters to it? Sold at 1500 yen each.
One of our editors’ favorite out of the entire batch; the only thing that prevented her from purchasing this 1250 yen worth of cuteness was the fact that she has to move out soon!
They even had kokeshi(小芥子) dolls to add variety to the mix : while these may not be as traditionally Japanese as the original kokeshi dolls, these are still adorable enough to make it worth buying one.
These platters, which somehow try to do an impression of antique blue china but fail due to over-cuteness, are sold as a set for 4860 yen.
Priced at 20,000 yen and 32,000 yen each, the Brown lamps were the first thing to greet visitors on B1. While these Brown room lamps are a tad pricey, if you are a true Brown lover you might want to grab one of these while you’re at the store to literally brighten up your room.
Vying for something a tad more luxurious than your typical, cheap daily school supplies, but still want it to be playing up on the funky-cutesy game? Then why not try out this sparkly Cony to give to your significant other for Christmas or Valentine’s Day?
To bring your LINE stickers to real life, what would be a better way than to get hold of one of these stamp sets?
The characters march out of your smartphone screen to cover it–by, well, becoming phone cases themselves!
You will just HAVE TO forgive this little bear for finishing up all the chips after you see it attached to a sweater.
The shop continues downstairs, where they not only sell more things but also have a surprise Christmas themed photo spot waiting for you. Merry Christmas, and happy shopping!
