We went on a trip down the street to Shibuya to take a look at MOJA in the HOUSE.

MOJA in the HOUSE is an American style dinner that brings the classic chicken and waffles to Tokyo. As soon as you walk in you can tell it has a vibe that caters to a young crowd. We went to the restaurant on Saturday night and were surprised by how busy it was. It seems chicken and waffles are a big hit here in Tokyo.

This is a great place to have a quick bite or hang out with friends. MOJA in the HOUSE has a pretty straightforward bilingual menu that caters to all of your tastebud’s needs. They have a drink special each day of the week for different types of people, including beer party on the weekends. The classic designs they used looks really cool as well.

MOJA in the HOUSE serves American style food, all of the appetizers are shareable, so this is a good spot for a party. While the main specialty is chicken and waffles, they also have a wide range of healthier options such as salads, smoothies and small dishes to eat if you aren’t too keen on their main event.

They also have awesome dessert such as red velvet cake and a brownie covered in vanilla ice cream. This time however, we didn’t order dessert because we were too focused on the main dishes.

First we ordered the Cheesy Mashed Potatoes. They were really great, not too much garlic, it was very cheesy and delicious. If you order this watch out because the plate they serve it on is quite hot. I’d recommend giving this a try if you are a potato fan.

Chicken and Waffles, the main course! Surprisingly the chicken and waffles was really good. A little sweet and just the right amount of salty. The syrup they use is from America too, they really go out of their way to make some authentic food here. The chicken was extra crunchy and the waffles really soaked up the syrup.

The last thing we ordered was a pepperoni pizza and although Japan is notorious for it’s expensive and often strange tasting pizza, this pizza was decently classic. It wasn’t corn mayo or anything so it turned out pretty awesome and for the record corn mayo pizza is really good. If you are looking for some American style food, come check out MOJA in the HOUSE.
