Since the movie Kimi no Na wa is as popular as ever, there is a limited time cafe opened at the Ikebukuro Parco. The last time we talked about the cafe it wasn’t opened yet. Now that the cafe is opened, we went to show you the awesome re-created sweets and the souvenir goods for sale.
The Kimi no Na wa cafe is now open on Ikebukuro Parco’s 7th floor, the queue for the cafe was amazingly long. Once the cafe opened at 10:00 AM, there are nine groups created and only fifty people per group. If you happen to come over the weekend, its even more busy and you could be waiting a long time.
After getting assigned your group number, I would recommend going over to look at the merchandise. There is a wide variety of products, such as mugs, mobile phone cases, stickers, stickers, puzzles, etc.
Here is the six different key rings for sale. One costs 750 yen, some of them are so popular they are already sold out.
These Kimi no Na wa themed stir sticks might not be something you need to everyday life unless you are a coffee addict, but its a cute souvenir.
There was also vending machines with super cute keychains, the keychains come out at random. It costs 300 yen and there is 11 different designs.
After the long wait, we finally made it into the cafe. Since its such a hot spot now, there is a time limit so be sure to order and eat kinda fast. Around the cafe the movie was being projected onto the wall and there were pictures from the movie all around.
The latte reads, “Who are you?”. It’s a famous phrase from the movie. Each latte is hand-written using edible glue, using this awesome glue it looks just like the real thing from the movie.
Every drink comes with a coaster. There is six designs and you don’t know what design you will get.
When Taki and Mitsuha exchange bodies, Taki ends up eating this strawberry shortcake. It looks just like the shortcake from the movie. The cell phone in the middle is actually edible and its a cookie.
This dessert recreated the moment when Mitsuha and Taki see comet hit Earth. The ice cream created represents the comet and the clouds are created with dry ice. The whole plate set up together looks mystical.
Each meal comes with a mini Kimi no Na wa poster, its selected at random. There is going to be another Kimi no Na wa cafe in Nagoya from January 27th to April 3rd, 2017 (10:00 AM – 10:30 PM). There will also be more cafes like this in Sendai, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and other cities, the information has not be announced yet. If you are a big fan of Kimi no Na wa, I would highly recommend going to this limited time cafe in Tokyo.
